From the time I first heard it in third grade, this famous Robert Frost poem (recently inaugurated into the public domain) has inspired me with its calm, serene, and mystical ambiance. I channeled these feelings into this piece, hoping to meld the natural beauty of a mysterious forest with the ongoing struggle of finding comfort, closure, belonging and fulfillment in the long, long journey that is life. "These woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep."
