$25.00 for pdf to print as needed for your ensemble

From the time I first heard it in third grade, the famous Robert Frost poem (recently entered into the public domain) has inspired me with its calm, serene, and mystical ambiance. I channeled these feelings into this lush piece, perfect for an advanced SATB divisi choir.

La Llorona

For SAB Choir with divisi

Difficulty: 5/10

$25.00 for pdf to print as needed for your ensemble

“La Llorona” is a tragic Mexican folk song that recounts the tale of “Llorona,” the weeping woman. In the legend, she had discovered her husband’s infidelity and in a fit of rage, drowned their children in a nearby river. Now, as a spirit, she is condemned to forever roam the river shores, in a fruitless search for her dead children. It is said that for any who see her, death surely will soon follow. This SAB piece will be fast, intense, and viscerally memorable for any intermediate ensemble

A satirical rhapsody on the veneration of wealth within an individualistic capitalist paradigm. This piece is sure to be a highlight of your concert, featuring a powerful alto solo and a truly sensational rap feature. I hope you’ll enjoy this classy masterwork for Intermediate SATB divisi choir

At St. James Lutheran church, every January a large banner is unfurled from the tower proclaiming “Let justice flow like a river.” This piece shows that message in song. The only way to achieve benevolence is to in turn treat others with dignity and kindness. I hope this SATB + Piano piece can be a reminder that faith can be a force for good and that with kindness and community, prosperity will surely follow.
